XMA is the newest, most physically demanding martial arts today.
A combination of extreme attitude and confidence mixed with creative traditional form techniques
and fearless acrobatic, high flying kicks as well as lightning quick strikes all set in motion to
music for three minutes of extreme excitement.
Weapons are not excluded from the fun. Along with the traditional weapons of Taekwando,
Xtreme Martial Arts includes the most feared weapon of all, the Katana. 48” of stainless steel
that is razor sharp ( actually the weapons are plastic, but it sure sounded good) Included in these
extreme weapons are the Kamas, cycle like blades on wooden handles.
Reaching this level is extreme as well. Physical training that includes traditional and
non-traditional exercises.
There are basically three types of exercises; isotonic, isometric and ply metric.
Isotonic is a typical push-up and lifting weights, basically contracting the muscle while
extending it at the same time. Isometric exercise is contracting the muscle without extending
it like pushing your palms together or pulling your hands from each other with your fingers locked.
And ply metric exercises are short powerful bursts like leapfrogging.
These exercises are designed to maximize our jumping abilities and speed deliveries.
In essence, with enough height, speed and attitude, we can deliver Xtreme excitement
and confidence.
